Lynda Nash is a United States Army veteran, entrepreneur, and community activist running Re-Election for Harker Heights City Council, Place 4.
Meet Lynda:
The middle child of 10 siblings, Lynda Nash was born in Syracuse, New York to a working-class family that fought to let their children benefit from the American Dream. Lynda learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and family from her parents, and used these principles to guide her life as she enrolled in a twenty-year career of military service.
Lynda served as a Logistics Non-Commissioned Officer and was eventually responsible for managing budgets exceeding $10 million and overseeing the allocation and maintenance of an annual total of more $30 million worth of military equipment. Upon retiring, Lynda focused her experience towards entrepreneurship in her community, founding the non-profit organization: “I am my Grandparent’s Keeper” and acting as an activist for the elderly and disenfranchised.
In addition, Lynda sits on the Board of Directors for the Harker Heights Food Bank and is an active member of “Divas in Dog Tags”, the Women Army Corps, and Star Group. She is also currently working towards earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Logistics Management from Texas A&M University--Central Texas.
Lynda is running to improve Harker Heights’ economy through better management and stronger collaboration with our neighbors and community. And she plans to bring her passion and experience to do just that as Councilmember for Place 4.
Lynda Nash is fighting for us.
